This is the story of a girl from the land of Lincoln
Heading to the Show Me State, without even blinkin’
A wild Russian Boar awaits Ella Joy
Bacon, ham and tusks for her, the real McCoy!
A hunting she will go, at the High Adventure Ranch
In February, please, .......no avalanche
Not far away, the gambol prey
A shot, a bang, this is no horseplay!
Elk and deer to see, buffalo too
Red Stag and a Scimitar Horned Oryx, this ain’t no zoo
Oh tour the ranch and see what you can see
Animals here, there, and everywhere...quite beastly!!
10 year old Ella Joy, from Illinois, is in a Corps-à-corps against Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, had a wild boar hunt Adventure in mind as her special experience! Ella Joy had never even held or shot a gun before, so her aspirations were grandeur!
Shooting lessons needed to be accomplished before heading into the woods then!
Three personal tutoring classes later, Ella Joy had built a familiarity with a rifle and hitting the bullseye!
So off to Missouri she went with her family, on her wild boar hunt!!!
For the girl with no experience, all it took was one shot, and she had her bacon!!!
The rest of her Adventure was spent in the comfortable hunting lodge, located on top of the hill overlooking the lake, open meadows of grazing wild game, and the hills of the Missouri Ozarks.
She glassed the fields and edges of timber throughout the day to see the big game animals moving throughout the property. Start the morning on the front porch with the sounds of elk bugles, screaming Sika, and an amazing variety of wildlife!
A discharging projectile thanks to Barry Latoria and Article II Range, in Lombard, Illinois, who provided the rifles, range time, targets, ammunition, and 3 personal coaching sessions for Ella Joy!!!
A halieutics escapade thanks to Brad Puff and High Adventure Ranch, in Cook Station, Missouri, for making ure Ella Joy had a perfect opportunity, and lots of meat to take home!!!
