Head West!
Leave the Rockies behind for the cactus of the Sonoran Desert
An oasis of fun you’ll find, you’ll be honored as a guest
The saguaro like a tree stands as you hit the dirt

Horses and jeeps, a mine, history and culture
Wildlife like javelina, coyote, and bighorn sheep
But watch out for that bird, the vulture!
And all that dust, you surely don’t need to sweep

To the Flying E Ranch, a respite you’ll encounter
A Christmas adventure, surrounded by cows and steers
Santa and his reindeer, so don’t expect any flounder
Madison’s Arizona Adventure I’m confident…. will bring cheers!!!

Madison’s Brave Young Hearts Adventure begins in the Old West (sort of)
She and her family traveled from Colorado to Wickenburg, Arizona.

There, she stayed at the Flying E Ranch…an actual working (dude) ranch.
A prodigious thanks to Angie, Megan and the entire staff at the Flying E Ranch!!!
While there….during Christmas week, Madison got to go horseback riding, and was initiated as an official cowgirl by receiving a Flying E brand on each of her boots!
A bunyanesque thanks to Jaime Gris and Western Destinations!!! for taking Madison and her family out on a Sonoran Desert 4-wheeling Jeep experience!

Yes, Madison even got to drive a Jeep!!!
Then Jaime let Madison shoot the gun that “Won the West”, a real single action Peacemaker Pistol!
In the late 1800’s Wickenburg was a boom-town reveling in silver, copper, and gold.
So lots of history for Madison and her family to enjoy!!!

Rumor has it that that jolly old elf from the North, Santa himself paid a special visit to the ranch just for Madison and her family!!! It was Christmas week after all.
