5 year old Summer, from Colorado Springs, CO, is immersed in Glycogen Storage Disease

Beneath the sun where warm waves flow,
A girl swims where the manatees go.
In waters clear, so calm, so wide,
She drifts with them, side by side.

Their gentle forms like shadows glide,
In peaceful depths, they softly bide.
A dance of grace beneath the blue,
A world of wonder, old and true.

The manatees, with eyes so kind,
In quiet trust, they intertwine.
She moves with them in serene delight,
A bond that shines beneath the light.

Her laughter echoes through the tide,
As she and they in silence bide,
Together lost in nature’s song,
Where time and tide forever long.

In Florida's warm embrace they roam

Little Summer wanted to swim with the Manatees.....so off she (and her family) went to Florida!
She also did a dolphin tour and saw Flipper!
Ok, maybe not THE Flipper...but she got up close and personal with a pod of dolphins!!
Delphinidae, Platanistidae, Iniidae, Pontoporiidae, and possibly extinct Lipotidae...ok, maybe not the extinct one, but at least bottlenose!
