Atlantic Ocean Fishing Trip - Amelia island, Florida

Christopher, a 9 year old, is a super hero against the dreaded foes - Primary Immune Deficiencies, Mitochondrial Disease, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ehrlos Danlos Disease, and Neutropenia.
Christopher went fishing with his older brother Sean Just off of Amelia Island, Florida...
Brave Young Hearts would like to give a special thanks to Captain Jeff Crumpton and Amelia Island Charter Fishing, LLC
    Sean's Mom wrote:

Adventure awaits far out to SEA,
On a boat with a Captian, first mates they will BE!
Away we go as we begin a new DAY,
Two BRAVE YOUNG boys, all their cares float AWAY.
Off to sail the ocean BLUE,
Just two boys and the sea, their spirits RENEWED.
Granted from a loving Papa Bear, a very special WISH,
An experience of a lifetime, to catch a HUGE FISH!
These boys will remember this time TOGETHER,
And the BRAVE YOUNG HEARTS will be part of our family FOREVER.

Day 1 of our amazing fishing adventure weekend thanks to Brave Young Hearts

The boys are LOVING Amelia Island! So much history and we even found a PIRATE looking for his lost gold! The boys got to listen to his tales of gold and glory

OH and they were excited to share RAW Oysters for dinner this evening!

We then stopped at a Chocolatier and treated them to some amazing goodies and are now snuggled into our “vacation home” after seeing 4 rainbows! The boys are so excited to go fishing and out on Captain Jeff’s boat in the morning, so much so, that I am sure neither one of them will sleep tonight! Dreams of catching the “BIG ONE” and their grandfathers memory fishing with them, will take them on this incredible journey out to sea tomorrow.

A HUGE thank you to Kerry Slaven “Papa Bear” and Diane Slaven “Mama Bear” and Dave Ogard for making this weekend a dream come true for my brave boys

This weekend of rest and fun came at the perfect time and we are so very grateful. A much needed break from a crushing amount of stress lately. We truly needed this weekend to replenish our souls, see our boys smile and laugh, and just be kids. More adventures to come! (and lots of pictures so our HUGE “fish stories” will be believable)

Day 2 of the boys BRAVE ADVENTURE IN THE BOOKS! WOW what an incredible day! Fishing charter Captain Jeff Crumpton was a blast! These boys will be talking about the sharks they caught for years to come and every time they tell the stories the sharks get BIGGER

Words cannot express how blessed our family is to have had this day, this adventure, and these incredible loving people come together to give my boys memories of a lifetime! We fished, laughed, soaked up the sunshine without a care in the world, and ended another beautiful day on Amelia Island eating oysters (of course) and dancing in the rain! (We got soaked and the boys laughter was music to my ears!). We are snuggled in for the night as we wait for dawn and another day to explore the island before we head home. I will let the pictures tell todays story because words just don’t come close to describing how much fun we had today! We cannot wait to return to Amelia Island and head out fishing with the boys new buddy Captain Crump!
