    Motorhome/RV Adventure, Southwest US

15 month old Hadley (Haddie) is in the midst of a Brainstem Glioblastoma dissension.

Get your motorhome running, head out on the highway
Looking for Adventure, in whatever comes our way….
In an RV, though we’ll call it a bus
Across the southwest, all of us
To see many national monuments and parks
Wild animals, cactus and even some sharks
Through the desert and to the beach
In search of adventure we do beseech
Haddie is off on her dauntless trek
30 whole days away from high-tech
A road trip, with kinship, our family you see
To Utah, Cali, Arizona, TexMex, like a grand prix

Haddie’s Mom sent this request….”Hadley is now 15 months old and is loving being home with us and our 3 year old son. She breathes with the help of a ventilator, which that and the COVID-precautions present us real challenges for getting her good experiences. Still, we’ve done what we can and a few months ago we started taking her on outdoor adventures, wearing her on the front and her ventilator and oxygen tank on the back. She loves this so much, we wanted to take her south this winter so she can still get outdoors and feel fresh air.”

Enter Brave Young Hearts….Haddie’s Adventure was 30 days traveling across the desert Southwest, Southern California and Texas in a motorhome!

What (in the depths of the Covid pandemic) did her Adventure include?
    Oh...not much……

Only the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park , Mesa Verde National Park , Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Petrified Forest National Park, Grand Canyon National Park , Lake Havasu, London Bridge, Joshua Tree National Park, San Diego Zoo - Wild Animal Park, Sea World and the Beach, Kartchner Caverns, Natural Bridge Caverns, The Alamo, San Antonio Riverwalk, Corpus Christi Beach, Kickapoo Cavern State Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park , Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and the Garden of the Gods…..Other than that she was pretty bored….NOT!

Haddie’s Mom wrote “We are eternally grateful to Brave Young Hearts for the incredible adventure that they gave our daughter, Hadley. She has been battling brain cancer since she was born, and it was just amazing to be able to give her the most wonderful outdoor experiences. Brave Young Hearts provided us with an RV adventure and we were able to take Hadley hiking at Arches, to walk along the rim of the Grand Canyon, to put her toes in ocean, walking into caverns, and so many other things. Our family shared with her the adventure of a lifetime thanks to this wonderful organization.”
