    Georgia Aquarium-Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta

Georgia Aquarium - Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta

9 year old Paula had had egregious altercations with Multiple Congenital Heart Defects and has had open heart surgery.

Paula and her family went to both Georgia Aquarium (Dolphin Encounter) and the Great Wolf Lodge in Atlanta.

Here is Paula's Adventure Story as told by her Mom

We started our road trip out by leaving our house at 11:45 pm on Wednesday, June 5 so we could get to the Georgia Aquarium by 9 am on Thursday for an extra special adventure.
Paula had no idea what she was about to do.
Once we arrived at the aquarium we gave her the ticket to her first Adventure.
    A Dolphin Encounter!
She loves dolphins and this was the perfect beginning to what would be an amazing adventure!
Paula got to meet one on one with several of the dolphin trainers. They answered all of her questions about the dolphins as well as about the training you have to go through to become a dolphin trainer.
Finally, Paula was introduced to Sal, a 15-year-old dolphin.
He performed tricks for us, shook our hands and we got to touch him. We rewarded him with lots of fish and gelatin snacks.
After her encounter with the dolphins, we moved on to the amazing aquarium and all of the creatures it houses. We even got to watch all of the dolphins perform during the dolphin show.
They have pretty much everything you can think of.
Paula was amazed by the whale sharks, beluga whales, sea lions, sea otters, penguins, and the spider crabs. We even found Nemo and Dory swimming around!
Once it was time to leave the Georgia Aquarium we headed off to the next part of Paula's incredible Adventure, The Great Wolf Lodge in Lagrange, GA! She had no idea where we were going and once we arrived she was so excited!
Upon check-in, she was given a special pair of wolf ears to wear. We headed off to our room which was amazing in itself. Paula had her own room with bunk beds and a tv.
After we had some lunch we headed off to the indoor waterpark.
    Talk about exciting!
They have water slides, 2 pools inside, a wave pool, sprinklers, lazy river, and even restaurants right inside!
Paula was able to experience a lot of firsts during her adventure. She braved several of the water slides and even went in the wave pool.
The Great Wolf Lodge is absolutely a wonderful place to be. They even have a Build-a-Bear and of course, Paula paid it a very lengthy visit. She picked out and stuffed her very own rainbow sloth. She picked out clothes and accessories too. We met a wonderful staff member who also has a heart condition and we become fast friends. She was so sweet and gave Paula some extra special things for her sloth.
We topped off the night with ice cream and a bubble dance party.
Our remaining days were spent between the waterpark and the outdoor pool.
